This year Retail Furniture celebrate 20 years in business. Our mission was celebrate the amazing milestone and all the hard work that has been put into the company and business development over the years.
It has no doubt been difficult facing challenges along the way such as industry competition, surviving the recession and quite recently – COVID but it’s the focus, determination and dedication from the team that has pulled the business through some of the darkest economic times.
In February 2022 we kick started the celebrations with a public announcement within the business supplement of our local newspapers, The Shropshire Star and The Journal.
We wanted to not only shout about our achievement but to gain recognition with local companies who may not know we are here and could potentially collaborate together.
Fast forward to August 2022, and several months of planning, our main celebration day had arrived. All staff members were invited to Retail Furniture’s “Family Fun Day” and bought their families to join in on the fun.
We had a range of entertainment such as: A bouncy castle, a slide and bucking bronco from Premier Bounce.
Loadawaffle and The Next Door Bar catered for us with exceptionally delicious food whilst Fruit Machine kept the background noise alive and sang us the best hits.
Not forgetting the wonderful team at A1 Marquees who set up and down a 12x6m marquee, providing extra shelter in case the rainclouds emerged!
Overall the event was a major success with everybody enjoying themselves, socialising and appreciating each other’s company.
As we look ahead into 2023, we aspire for growth, health and happiness. As the welfare of our team is incredibly important to us, we want to be able to provide as much support and encouragement possible.
